MuscleDriver USA is proud to announce the opening (Late June 2012) of the MDUSA training center for Olympic Weightlifting. MuscleDriver USA is taking this crucial step to expand their role in promoting weightlifting in the USA, and assisting our best athletes in achieving international success.
The MDUSA training center will have a team of 10 supported athletes coached by Glenn Pendlay. The training center will be a part of MDUSA’s current facilities and will occupy 10,000 sq ft of the 116,000 sq ft at MDUSA’s new facility that will be ready late 2012. These athletes will have their training, travel, and competition expenses covered, and will receive monthly stipends up to $1,000. There will be three groups which athletes will be placed, A Group, B Group and C Group. Stipends for athletes will be determined by which group the athletes are in.
MDUSA is excited to be the only private training facility in the USA to support full-time athletes in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting, and hope to use their team and training facility to find new and innovative ways to support American athletes and help them along the road toward success on the international platform.
MDUSA will be announcing more details over the next few weeks including the starting athletes at the training center and team tryout dates to fill any remaining slots available.
